Up North!!

Jaeden's first trip Up North was on May 14, 2010. We traveled to the Great North Woods for Opening Weekend. Unfortunately, not all the work could be done because the water level was so low. Fr. Wally, who has been going to the same location for most of his life (he's 84) doesn't remember the water ever being this low. It turns out that the DNA left the dam that connects the Three Lakes chain of lakes (including Laurel Lake, on which our family has its cottage) to the Eagle River Chain open too long. Oops! Nonetheless, it was a BEAUTIFUL weekend -- in the 70's. Normally you're wearing hats and mittens for Opening Weekend. We all had a great time.
